Tip1: Warm up properly before your game or driving session.

  • Get your thoracic spine rotating well
  • Stretch your lats and triceps
  • Stretch your groin muscles
  • Activate your core muscles

Tip 2: Build into your game.

  • Golf is a slow game, so don’t rush your form, it will improve as you progress through your round
  • Start easy and build your force/torque (warm the swing up)

Tip 3: Cross Train.

  • Consider 3 core and functional cross training sessions during your week

Tip 4: Try a refresher course with a certified coach.

  • Even professional golf athletes have coaches
  • An improved swing will improve efficiency and effectiveness of your game

Tip 5: Cool down after your rounds.

  • When you are finished your game, add in a few stretches and a cool down walk to finish your round
  • Stretch for 10-15 minutes when you get home if able
  • If you are a right-handed golfer, work opposing movements and muscles during your cool-down.

We hope these tips help you enjoy your golf game this season!
